How it works
At East West Nest, we connect international renters with privately owned rooms across Europe — through a simple, safe and transparent process. Whether you want to view a room first or rent it immediately, here’s how it works:
1. Booking a Viewing (€200)
Want to visit a room before making a final decision? You can book a viewing directly through the site for a fixed fee of €200.
Here’s how it works:
- If you decide to rent the room after the visit, the €200 will be deducted from your first month’s rent.
- If you decide not to rent, or you don’t show up, the fee covers the time and costs of our local partners.
- If the room does not match the listing, you may request a refund of the viewing fee — just contact us and we’ll review the situation.
Our viewing appointments are arranged by trusted local agents across Europe, who also assist with key delivery and rental handover.
2. Renting a Room Directly
Already found a room you like? Click Rent Now and pay the first month’s rent right away.
Some landlords may also require a security deposit, typically equal to one month’s rent — this is clearly mentioned in the listing.
Please note:
- Some rooms are available immediately
- Others allow move-in at a later date (e.g. start of the university semester)
➔ The availability will always be shown in the ad.
3. What About Legality?
Although recent political tensions have created restrictions in banking between Russia and the EU, it is not illegal for Russian citizens or companies to rent out real estate in Europe.
All listed properties are privately owned by individuals or families with legitimate ownership and documents.
East West Nest simply provides the platform to connect verified owners with international renters.
4. How Crypto Payments Work
Because of banking restrictions, we cannot process EU-Russia bank transfers. That’s why all payments are done via cryptocurrency.
If you’ve never used crypto before, don’t worry — it’s easier than it sounds.
Here’s what to expect:
- When booking or renting, you’ll receive a payment screen with a QR code.
- You can pay with common cryptocurrencies like USDT (Tether) or Bitcoin using any crypto wallet app (like Binance, Trust Wallet, or Coinbase).
- Scan the QR code → Confirm payment → Done.
If you need help, we offer step-by-step guidance — just contact us before booking.
5. Security Deposits
If a deposit is required, East West Nest will hold the amount safely on your behalf.
At the end of your stay, one of our local partners will inspect the room. If everything is in order, your deposit is refunded back to your crypto wallet.
This process protects both the renter and the landlord.
6. Local Partners Across Europe
We work with a network of reliable local agents in every country where we offer rooms. They are responsible for:
- Organizing viewings
- Handling keys and access
- Verifying room condition at move-in and move-out
- Communicating with both parties as needed
This gives you real, local support — even while booking internationally.
